Above path is actually the Jailshell configuration path created by WHM when a Cpanel user was granted with shell access.

Note : Do not delete any data inside /home/virtfs/Cpanelusername as it can screw up your Cpanel server.

Reason : The /home/virtfs/ is created for user with Jailshell. Virtfs is hardlinked to some system files. By delete the data inside /home/virtfs/, you delete the actual system file they’re linked to. This is going to be bad and screw up your system file and delete other important data such as Mysql database. So, beware on this.
Shall you need to remove any shell access from any cpanel user, just navigate to WHM >> Manage Shell Access and disable Jailed Shell for users.

For your information, when we check the disk size for /home/virtfs/Cpanelusername. You will see some disk size. Imagine if there is few more cpanel user granted with Jailshell, there will few more directories create at /home/virtfs/. You will find there is more disk space after du -sh those directories. But don’t worry as it will not consume your actual server diskspace. Some advice which is /home/virtfs need to excluded from backup system.

Additionally, always be careful when run command ‘rm -rf *’. It will delete all the file with option of recursive and force. Need more information, visit here.

Try on a free virtualization tool, Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 if using Windows system. Personally I try Vmware before, but found that this application is not bad and give a try on it.


It’s available at Virtual Server 2005 R2 download site. There is a requirement which IIS need to install at first because the control panel manager is in web based and run in localhost.

Click Start > All Programs > Microsoft Virtual Server > Virtual Server Administration Website, to open the control panel manager for add new virtual Windows. (Note : please use IE to open instead of Firefox)

Next, new virtual machine can create after open Virtual Server Administration Website and may refer to Getting Started Guide for create new virtual machine in click.

Problem that will face is unable to login the administrator’s website. Hint, edit the url of website from

To manage the Windows that going to install by open Virtual Machine Remote Control Client which can find after navigate to All Programs > Microsoft Virtual Server. The Remote Control Client will asked for which virtual machine to connect, so you need to enter the path as below sample

localhost:5900/virtualmachinename

Why use 5900? This is because VMRC use port 5900.

Well, I can say that this is a nice training which include clinic that has hands-on labs to test on Window Server 2008. The trainer is nice which I like the course. By having 2 years beginner level experience on Window Server 2003, I able to know the some feature improve from previous version. As know that Win2k8 still under Beta version and it has approximate 75 days to launch the full release version. All the material I took during training still in pre-release version. Lolz. Thats true for it and there will be another official training after this great product launch. Yes, you can always check the launching date at here.

Of cause, there are a lot stuff which need to expose in-depth.

For first time when load Deluge, it will require to make some configuration adjustment. If there is any error during the configuration. Your Deluge will not able to load.

So, we need to re-configure the setting. But, the previous adjustment config file have to remove.

Deluge config file store at ~/.config/Deluge/ . Just remove Deluge directory and launch Deluge again and you will prompt for the adjustment configure again. You may decide to backup the directory before remove, but will not have problem if delete it :)

  1. type $ sudo application_name , to run under root user
  2. type $ gksudo > a screen will display which you may type the application launch command
  3. right click on application properties > Launchers > add gksudo at the command field there. When execute the application next time, it will run under root privileges

Thats it if have some application that require root privileges to do something.

Fixed it by install ‘xserver-xgl’ through Synaptic Package Manager. Then you will get your Ubuntu be more animated.

Reason : ATI’s drivers do not directly support Compiz, need to install a piece of software called XGL.

The latest movie I have watched to share. I give 3 our of 5 star for this movie’s rate. You can see lots of fight and fight action among human with blood exhausted vampires. This vampires move fast and silent when hunting, but they can’t fly or turn to bat. Storyline quite similar with previous vampires movie that watched. But will be the first time to see if a human can turn to vampires by injected vampires blood to human body. For wat? To gain power against with those powerful vampires which hard to kill by human during the day without sunlight.

Workaround

Increase PHP’s memory limit, either by adding:

The memory can adjust more than 20MB according to needs.

    5. make
    sudo make install

  5. Final step is run Pidgin.

As my recent migrate to Ubuntu, I do install Apache for my learning usage. A bit confuse when choose which version to install. But since my comp plan to migrate Apache 1.x to 2.x, I straight away download the latest release and install.

However, there will never have one time success installation for a beginner. LOL. Hence, there got few starting erros encounter with the solving steps I locate.

Got this when compile apache,

configure: error: Cannot use an external APR-util with the bundled APR

which can resolve by below configure

# ./configure –enable-so –with-included-apr
# make
# make install
or
# ./configure –prefix=/usr/local/apache2 –enable-so –with-included-apr

Use command to start apache:

# /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl start

Remember to edit ServerName under /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf else below error will display when start apache:

apache2: Could not reliably determine the server’s fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1 for ServerName

Then, verify by browse http://localhost/ or http://127.0.0.1/.

A lot comment found to say problem regarding ATI video card, SCIM and Openoffice. Many guide such as reinstall Openoffice can solved problem. Some said this is not the problem with ATI video card and the simple way to solve is edit below file

/etc/openoffice/soffice.sh

Which just change:

OPENGL_SUPPORT=yes

to

OPENGL_SUPPORT=auto

A very simple and easy way of fixing.

The problem can be corrected by upgrading your system to the following package versions:

  • Ubuntu 6.06 LTS: firefox 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.13~prepatch070731-0ubuntu1
  • Ubuntu 6.10: firefox 2.0.0.6+0dfsg-0ubuntu0.6.10
  • Ubuntu 7.04: firefox 2.0.0.6+1-0ubuntu1

There is flaw on “about:config” under Firefox which can cause those malicious websites can exploit and retrieve the password saved. So, I do hurry update my Firefox version as well.
